The cooperation between krauth technology and Abellio GmbH continues

Berlin/Halle/Eberbach:
As one of the leading private supplier on Germany’s regional passenger rail transport, the Abellio GmbH concluded an exclusive four-year frame contract with krauth technology. The agreement includes the provision of stationary and mobile ticket vending machines as well as an operating management system.

The signing of the contract took place in the premises of Abellio Rail Mitteldeutschland GmbH in Halle (Saale). At the same time Abellio transacted the first call-off order for the project “diesel-powered network Saxony-Anhalt” from the framework contract.
In December 2018 Abellio will overtake thirteen more railway lines in Saxony-Anhalt. Altogether 8,6 Million train-kilometers are performed on diesel-powered network Saxony-Anhalt.
52 brand-new Coradia Lint-trains from the manufacturer ALSTROM are called into action and each train will be staffed with a customer advisor. Like in the already operating electric - network Saale-Thüringen-Südharz, Abellio will install mobile and stationary ticket vending machines from krauth technology in the diesel-powered network.
Starting from June 2019, the krauth vendor machines will be called into action.  Over a specific period of time the vendor machines will take place around the local-public-transport route Stuttgart – Mühlacker – Pforzheim/Bruchsal, Stuttgart – Heilbronn –Mannheim/Osterburken und Stuttgart – Tübingen.
“To provide the diesel-powered network Saxony-Anhalt with mobile and stationary ticket vending machines through the same system provider like in the electric network Saale-Thüringen-Südharz, offers us many synergy effects - which are relevant in an economically and organizationally way. Due to the fact that we are very satisfied with the work of krauth technology, we are pleased that we are able to expand the cooperation” says Mr. Dr. Roman Müller, chairman of the board of Abellio Rail Mitteldeutschland.

„The total volume of the frame agreement without options contains already 150 mobile and 200 stationary ticket vending machines. This order is a major success and another important milestone in the corporate development of krauth technology. By that we are able to continue growing together with Abellio as a long-term partner. The fact that in 2019 Abellio/krauth ticket vending machines will be positioned in Eberbach and in my hometown Heidelberg is a special motivation for our team” adds Kai Horn, general manager of krauth technology GmbH to the statement of Mr. Dr. Roman Müller.
